There were few ceiling fan brands. I recall seeing wall painting of one brand, Santoshi Maa Fans manufactured in Kansabahal. But could not find any information. There was an industrial cluster around Rourkela during early to mid 90s but don't know what happened later.

I couldn't perceive RSP as a brand rather a steel plant. Here SAIL is a brand name which again a centralized one. Where as NALCO having more visibility as a brand and its origin lies in Odisha.

Not sure about Rabindra Medicals but Kalamandir is surely a established brand.

The Co became sick again and permanently around 1993/94 when it was under Govt's control. At one point of time Choudwar was an industrial hub having, tile, tubes, refrigerator, paper & textile factories.

Up to 1996, the brand name was 'Hira', representing the unit's name Hira Cement Works.

Meanwhile we mustn't ignore the tribal music,folk music,light music,light classical music of Odisha.

We need to promote, encourage, and produce originals to get the connection back.
