Please digitise this one. My humble request to both of you. 🙏
It is ସହି ଅଣ୍ଟିଲା ନାହିଁକି, one of my favourite Odissi songs (by Gopalakrusna, 18th century). Moreover classic Odissi Kaphi - that too by Mohan Gosain. Couldn't ask for better.
Can never be grateful enough to you 🙏
It's a treasure trove for me. I do realise that if not for you, I would be clueless about early Odia recordings, the journey of Odissi in gramophone records and the truly authentic Odissi style. That is a fundamental difference on so many levels— it impacts everything
The way I sing, my repertoire, stylistic observations, lost Ragas — everything derives from these gramophone records. Listening to Apanna, Tarini Patra, Mohan Gosain, Khan Mohammed, Basudeb Mahapatra — it is a blessing to be able to hear them in my life

Its grt that u all r recognizing the importance of gramophone records, which r reservoires of our cultural heritage. In fact, apart concentrating on regional cultures, we must develop the all India perspective. Many such early cultural gems hv died & r dying .

Don't know how and when that's possible. Let's see. In the meantime, whatever makes way to online access is perhaps better. Thanks.
