Yes. An anthology was published by Gajapati Press long ago in 1926 (which has fortunately been digitised) https://t.co/NcfJHC9EqZ

Bidyut Prabha Devi (12 July 1926 – 28 January 1977) was an Odia poet from India. She is recognized as one of the best female poets in Odia literature.
Bidyut Prabha started writing poems from 1940 and subsequently her poems were published in literary magazines https://t.co/slZRen9SFV

Dilemma by
Bidyut Prabha Devi

The grinding is half done.
Where are you,
eldest daughter-in-law?
Unmindful of chores
that lie piled up
until nightfall!

“Am I a bonded labourer?
Am I to be sold daily
only for this house?
Work, work and more work!

... Maithili, and Oriya characteristics were in all probability manifesting themselves, but not as yet fully established;' - Suniti Kumar Chatterji, ODBL (1926, reprinted 2017), p97.

I think Chatterji (1926) mentions this. Oriya used to be in the /ri/ group, like Bengali, but shifted to /ru/ under Telugu cultural influence. I'll see if I can find the details and timeline.

Especially the guys who writes Hindi headlines in @kanak_news and @News18Odia like channels.

Interestingly, this article says about work of P C Mahalanobis: "in 1926, he analyzed 60 yrs’ data related to #floods in #Orissa, which led to the construction of the Hirakud #dam on the #Mahanadi #river, after 3 decades." https://t.co/FoMJsXhL1K @prchoudhury @ranjanpanda

The discourses then was that controlling a river would bring in development. Science & information were used to argue & execute it. While the lessons learnt tell diff stories & discourses getting nuanced, same arguments continue to rule our river.
